The hear does store some memory. There's scientific findings about that and some crazy real world stories like catching the murderer of the doner by the man who was saved by the heart and KFC chicken becoming the patients favorite food after transplant because it was the donors favorite.

I'm not a great fan of obese bodybuilding but if there's 1 thing I'll take away from this it's the accuracy of his recollection. I'm a 46 year old mountain runner and there are plenty of deaths in the mountains.
