Hugo’s point about this game being something kids could play makes sense in a weird way. Kids know that this game’s violence is just plain ridiculous, they aren’t going to be influenced by something so obviously ridiculous.
Joe doesn't know culture if he calls Mick Gordon's music "annoying"
I still love uncle joe rogan, but he was definitely disrespectful to hugo, but Joe's an old head who works out and bow hunts, and Hugo is a video game developer which is an amazing skill, while joe still has amazing skills as well, they're both totally different people.
I’ve always enjoyed Joe Rogan and his interviews and podcasts but this one has dampened my perspective on him, he was rude and ignorant to a guy who clearly is passionate about his craft in making games, i give Hugo props to not giving in cause he clearly has some thick Doomslayer skin. And Joe goes off saying early on “games are a waste of time” etc.
Personal note: If you are enjoying your time playing a game you aren’t wasting your time, you are using it to your pleasure and theres nothing wrong with that, I’m aware that this is Joes opinion on games overall but it’s how he behaves to Hugo throughout this podcast is just making my blood boil and beat in-sync to “Rip and Tear”.
And how dare does Mr. Joe insult Mick Gordon with his music, as someone who doesn’t listen to heavy metal i can still say that it’s fantastically crafted music i can workout too and it kept inspiring me to finally kill that damn Gladiator cause that song was so damn epic.
I know this video is a billion years old and chances that no one is gonna read this but i wanted to give my 2 cents on this Joe Rogan manner because Doom Eternal is one of the best first person shooters i have ever played, it’s no waste of time to me.
