I'm also thankful that there are geniuses out there who have helped reshape the world we live in, but sometimes I don't really like hearing comments like "Thank god there are smart/smarter people out there". Because most people are capable of becoming incredibly smart and help innovate the world, but given the youth of today, most just find science etc boring or not "cool", or maybe just something that you can impress a few people with, but nothing more than that. And given that most scientists aren't too popular, or have a lot of money, there is definitely logic behind how and why the youth thinks like that, but I'm not saying I like that logic. So we definitely have to be thankful for the handful of people who have sacrificed their lives, free time and many more things to let us have a much easier and fun life than what it used to be. I wish that every person had an interest in just knowing or wanting to know about everything, always being curious and always wanting to talk with people to help each other out. If that were the case, we would have advancements in many fields much sooner since there would be a lot more people who would be confident in themselves to pursue a career in science or other important subjects, and not care about money, fame etc 🙂
