I'd bet cars today could do that kind of reasoning because there's a most brilliant genius who humanity is so lucky to share the planet with in their lifetime who can program the kind of stuff necessary for it, and people just aren't ready to accept such advancement and get with the program and don't even realise how lucky they are, that's what i think

Of course there would always have to have some sort of human interaction otherwise who'd press the buttons and how else would the car know where the passengers wanna go, they'd have to read their minds for that, guess when they change their minds and wanna go somewhere else for instance that's merely common sense
