Hurricane proof houses are not hard or uneconomical. They dont happen because of insurance companies. If you're a rich fuck that builds a home on the beach, you dont care that a hurricane destroys your beach house, all that means is you get to contract a new house on the insurance companies dime. Its literally incentive to not build a hurricane proof house, you're getting a new modern home every 10-20 years.
