"We cannot indefinitely lock down"… November is some states says hi!
Joe: "Fire stations are socialist organizations that work. Why not do that same thing with medical stuff?"
Answer: If a fire department has 1000 houses to protect, they may be called for a fire once a day. If you add 1000 more houses to that branch, that means they have 2000 houses to protect, which ups their calls to two a day. There's no problem for them to handle that increase. Now… Doctors that have 100 patients, see 15 daily. If you add 100 more patients to their list, then they have 30 patients to see a day. That's the difference. Doctors can't see 30 patients a day.
It’s painful hearing Joe not understand the nonrival aspect of fire departments versus healthcare.
why so much dislikes?
Alter the perception of human incentive by not idolizing and promoting the concept of extreme wealth in society. If we could focus more on “humanistic” and societal achievement, and a moderate, comfortable level of wealth, as a society, as opposed to grandiose financial achievements, then maybe we could get to a place where professionals are motivated by something other than financial gain.
