The great SDA theologan Samuele R. Bacchiocchi was opposed to Christmas and believed the church should celebrate Yahweh's commanded Holy Days. You're simply following the mother church and the Pope. Romans 14 is speaking of fasting. You are taking that out of context. Christians use the same argument for Sunday woship.

Christmas as well as other Christian events and holidays are here to stay. These can not be changed so just simply follow where your heart and faith take you.
Just like thousands of protestant churces all over the world, they are not in unity and never agree with each other. Certainly something is not right and yet we keep dividing and multipying. One thing for sure is Christianity will never agree with each other!
