So many things wrong here about their understanding of gun laws. I don't have time to explain them all, but here are a couple. 1st of all it is illegal for any person to go across state lines and purchase and take possession of a handgun, it is illegal at both a dealer or from an individual. I can buy one and have it shipped to a FFL dealer, who then puts me through a background check 2nd of all the only states that you can legally purchase a long gun from a dealer legally are those that border your state. 3rd the idea that guns are regulated less than car is absurd. I can build or buy any car I want without any government approval. Once I build or buy that car I don't ever have to register it unless I actually drive it on public roads. I also don't need a driver's permit to operate it unless I operate it on public roads. So yeah I can build my monster truck, 4000hp race car or anything else I want, completely government regulation fee, permits, etc as long as I don't drive on public roads. So yeah I would be all for making ALL the gun ownership laws match up with auto–ownership.
