  1. I don’t know much about Joel Osteen, but he seems like a good guy overall. There are many of these megs preachers that are obviously driven by money and do shady things like sell holy water, tell followers that god wants them to he,p buy a private jet, etc, but Joel is not one of them. Yes, he’s wealthy and has nice things, but how is he any different than a best selling novelist? His wealth comes from books, videos, recordings, etc, where he shares positive messages that even non religious people can appreciate. I’m not a member of his congregation or a religious person myself, but I think most religions promote positive messages about family, forgivenesses, compassion, etc, that helps all of society.

  2. I love this guy! he's very disinterested, he doesn't push any particular narrative, he's incredibly introspective, and motivated with a positive purpose. I agree with his concern regarding Elon's brain implants, I don't think people are considering the implications that encompasses technological augmentation of the human brain and the impact it could have on our consciousness. It seems we have given up a great deal of our personal unique identity and sacrificed the most fundamental aspects of life and what it means to be human, for technology. The people and companies operating in the tech industry and involved in developing the systems and programs that are utilized by millions of people, everyday, have already proven, consistently, that they aren't capable of considering all variables. These companies have exhibited a blatant disregard for human health and sustainability, so long as it doesn't impede user interaction or demand, the harmful effects are never too destructive to deter a company from creating and distributing it. These companies are rarely held accountable, if/when it is discovered that their product is faulty or defective- and it IS always discovered, it has never been revealed by the manufacturer or the developer, when malfeasance or negligence is discovered- the number of people whom incur damages are, often times, immeasurable and the damages incurred are tantamount and permanent. We're entering a new era, and it is being led by technology, the conversations that we need to be having, and having now, before it is too late, assuming that window is still open. We need to figure out what we're ok with giving up, in terms of privacy, conscious sovereignty, and physiological health, and we need to decide what is going too far, and where the line gets drawn, if there is a line, and who gets to decide where to draw that line…
