I have been mouth breathing for years due to nasal polyps, also asthma and i have noticed that my face shape has changed….my chin has elongated. There is no cure for these. I have had surgery three times. They grew back with in a week…I have snorted cortisone for years to try t o breathe through my nose..I have taken prednisone…If there is anything you can recommend i would so appreciate it…my nostrils are huge!
Ask any wind instrument player: we've been doing this for years.
When I was 16 I played long tones (one medium range/volume note) for 1-2 hours a day. My Asthma hasnt sent me to the emergency room since.
When I was in my early 20's I went for 6 hrs a day for 6 months. That changed everything.
Everytime I breathe to fill that sax, it's a 100% lung capacity breath, done in a fraction of a second (to not disrupt any melody being played) and released with enough power to pin a piece of paper to the wall with nothing more than the air
(try that sometime for fun or a drinking game!)
The man speaks truth. Superhuman abilities come when you learn to breathe beyond the basics of what humans believe they can do.
Quick side note: please correct me if I'm wrong, but in many languages, "breath" and "spirit" are interchangeable
who else was afried to get caught panting w joe to try and get lightheaded
Am I the only one that paused this and did the Wim Hoff breathing method.
When I breathe heavily through my nose it stings a tiny bit. Not much but noticeable as compared to breathing through my mouth. And of course it's more noisier breathing through the nose.
And is it just me but you can't breathe in and out through your nose when you have your mouth open and vice versa.
