I've listened to this video like 3 times with the goldmine of knowledge. Andrew Huberman I want to deeply thank you for sharing this knowledge it is invaluable to someone like me who 30 and wants to learn like a youngster.
Weird how you described my situation of urgency and focus. I've experienced like a first principal mind reset. Never had good structure from life. Don't have a great job but I'm Gogginsing my life to success for myself and new son.

One study showed that an hour of deep meditation increased dopamine by 64%
He said traditional meditation isn’t focused on as much anymore. But it’s the number one thing that helps us focus more…you’re literally decompressing and not focusing on anything (sometimes your breathe) which he said is one of the best things to do…
Mind body connection, where have I heard that before 🤔 …oh yeah yogis and meditators have been talking about it for thousands of years. I am very interested in neuroscience and psychology, but I’m also very interest in spirituality, yoga, and meditation and the latter has known about what he’s trying to figure out in the lab for millennia. Better focus and calm= yoga + meditation + a higher power. Less depression and anxiety = yoga + meditation + a higher power. When you’re present you’re not in that analyzing loop that he speaks of. You’re closer to untethered time and space that he also speaks of. That untethered time and space is what spiritual leaders speak of and if you’ve ever taking a shrooms/lsd or have meditated very deeply you get a glimpse of that. There’s a lot of interesting info in this talk, but you don’t need to over think all of this stuff if you want better focus and mental health. You just have to do the things that have been good for humans for our existence…I’d also add in diet, nature, socializing etc. Okay I’m done 🙏🏻
