Most police officers I know take it upon themselves to do extra training beyond what is required for them to keep their job. Unfortunately, not every police officer takes it upon themselves to seek the extra training that is necessary to be a high quality officer who is truly prepared for high stress situations. That extra training needs to be provided and required imo.
12:58 If you have ever watched a Die Hard movie you know that protocol can be good, but can also be taken advantage of… so, especially when you have a law enforcement force protocol that carries over the whole country you have millions of officers 99% who are good, but that 1% who aren't just figured out how to take advantage of anybody, anywhere, and then factor in other countries wanting to manipulate the system… you have to know better than this Joe… Just try to factor in what is the worst thing that can happen if we do this… and you will see… while i agree all states should have their own training… all states are different with different laws.. we can't be expecting our local LEO's to know what to do for laws if they were in cali if they work in taxes.. … you can't do that type of thing on a federal level… by state yes, i could see it.. but not on a federal level except for federal officers .. .. not on the local level.
