Nancy Panza, Ph.D, is a Professor of Psychology at Cal State Fullerton. She has also worked within county, state, and federal facilities providing clinical and forensic services for juvenile and adult offenders and has provided services for police departments in New York City, Alabama, and Southern California.

Hold on, he needs to be talking about getting help for normal people who don't have alot of money and live check to check working a bullshit job and have no help from family or friends and is raising kids alone, like myself and then get fucked with by police! If civilians were well taken care of the police would have nothing to worry about.
Why take from the cops…? Because city's have been cutting funding to education healthcare and all sorts of helpfull organizations while no cuts are happening to the police departments and they are using that money for no knock warrents, mraps, pop Granads and all sorts of toys that dont help the communities.
For someone who works with the police she doesn't know much about them
Defunding the police only means, instead of giving money to the police for tanks like the m80s, more military grade weapons and more money for jails put that money instead into other areas that will actually help the community. More education more jobs, mental help centers, after school programs exc.. Thats what defund the police means.
Here is just one on the top of my head… We weid out killer cops by their history. Are there more than the normal amount of complains made against that officer… is he or she prone to giving people in his custedy beat downs? Exc. Its not accurate 100 percent but its a start rather than saying we can't.
