I hate zoo's reptile houses, aquarium. These creatures have to live their whole long lives in these cages or behind glass. It's like being in hell. They must perceive time completely different to us. Homosapiens have only been here for thousands of years and we think we can profit of nature that's been around for billions of years.
We are doing rehabilitation and conservation because we messed up completely. We chose to try and control nature instead of live in symbiosis with it.
I'm glad people are bothering to really talk about this apart from animal activists etc.
