Always looks for zoos and aquariums that are accredited by the AZA. Those zoos are focused on bringing the highest quality care to the animals. Roadside zoos are the ones to stay away from.
Worst part a lot of animals are brought in when there young and unable to gain those natural skills of hunting and gathering and understanding living in the wild so can never actually be put back in the wild due to domestication
