Democrats did this to themselves. A lot of conservatives didn't have abortion high on their list of voting issues until leftists started pushing for later term abortions. Even some of the Democrats were getting disgusted. You kill a baby five months or more into the term you committed infanticide. You can literally feel the baby kicking. You'd have to be one cold hearted person to do that.
