When studying management and such you learn that adhering to some ethical ISO etc can be beneficial in the West but counter productive in places like China, where the best workers won't accept your 40h job because they want to work VERY hard for half the year and then go back to the inner country and feed their family for the whole year.
Americans all time: "OMG why do they pay them 1$/day, that's crazy, why don't they pay them like in America?"
Meanwhile average salary in that country is 0.7$/day or something like that.
Same thing when muricans hears "I earn 500$/month" : "OMG how do you live"…
Americans can't seem to understand that there are places other than USA and they are different and the value of money is different
