I thought this was one of Joe’s better guests. I also felt that Mackey beat Joe on the diet piece from a debate point of view. But SO good to hear a debate for a change!

This one is brutal
John's argument reminds me of the Bret Weinstein discovery with the "cancer prone lab rats".
The science DOES NOT show that lab rats subjected to the FDA approved experiments DON'T develop cancer. The only thing the experiments proved was that the lab rats being tested on WILL ALWAYS die of cancer AND they will die of it so quickly that whatever products being tested on them CANNOT produce an observable rise in cancer within the time-frame of the experiment.
Similarly, John's argument is invalid in that it does not prove anything about the benefits of a plant-based diet, yet he continuously claimed that this was a scientific matter of fact. It is not. He was wrong. Joe was just getting fed up with him for horsing around like that. All John had to do was say, "okay, I agree, the argument isn't perfectly sound". But no, he wanted to hide behind false science like it was his ace-in-the-hole; this is why I support Joe here. He wasn't being mean, he was just imposing on John's ignorance with integral truths, and John kept scampering away like the "science" offered all the proof.
"Cancer Rats"… make it into a children's book, I swear. It's a big big message.
