That's why ALL drugs should be legalized and then federally regulated.
No one would buy heroin with human shit in it if they could simply purchase a vial from the local drug store. Furthermore there is all sorts of great things that would happen.
1) just like in portugal no kids or teens would start using drugs because it would no longer be a way to rebel,in portugal doing drugs even weed is seen as the same as not showering or brushing your teeth, its gross and a sign of mental illness.
2) the endless loop of buy drugs to stay well>go to jail for possesion>try to get a job but cant because of charge so you use drugs because your poor n its all you have> buy drugs to stay well> go to jail on loop till you die. Would be gone and over 50% of our jails would simply be actual criminals who committed violent crimes or theft. That means more people who can work and pay taxes and less taxes going to a war against mental illness.
3) if you do choose to use drugs we can now make sure your not doing so while pregnant or giving it to children. We can make sure that children/teens are totally out of the drug scene(tho they will no longer want to use because again it wont be a form of rebellion)
4)we can tax the shit out of it and use the taxes to sure up our borders and fund more education programs for kids
5) the entire cartel will dissolve, only human trafficking would be profitable after full legalization and with that we can bring the full force of the pentagon on them because literally no us voter cares about "excessive violence" to monsters who sell children. We can just lob seran gas and white phosphorus at anything that even slightly resembles a cartel lol they will be scared of the border haha.
6) we can start actually saving peoples lives rather than stealing them for profit under the guise of "the war on drugs" which is really a war on the mentally ill.
The list of benefits is literally endless and the list of benifits continuing to fund the Dea out of fear and propaganda is non existent.
The war on drugs is first in human history never before has a persons personal choices about there body been policed accept during slavery. It was a failure ,hell it was a failure even 80 years ago.
One look at portugals drugs statistics since they legalized drugs would blow you away, all teen drugs use evaporates by 50% every year! The number of new addicts is unmesserably small and the benefits to the economy are insane.
The only reason why drugs are still illegal is because of the wholly corrupt DEA and the pharmaceutical industries who's dicks the DEA suck won't let it happen
