Robert Mitchum: My uncle lived in Santa Barbara when he was young(back in the 60's) & one night he & his buddies got drunk & were out driving around & smashed Mitchums' mailbox. My uncle & his friends felt bad about it so the next day they went to Mitchums' house & fixed up his mailbox. Mitchum came out & gave each one a beer & chatted with them for a bit. My uncle had great respect for Mitchum because of that.
