Tommy went to prison, had to abstain and needed to remain sober as part of his parole outside of prison. Fell of ill health. He started right up after his parole sentence and his health improved. Addiction. wow. Now he is promoting CBD's I think it is? Nothing generic here dude's. I stopped when I was pretty young. I'm not perfect but I'm ok with myself. Tomy Chong is one lucky guy I figure. What with surviving the prison sentence and all emerging into this world of higher medicine saving his life. Another thing in his favor might have been is the fact that he really wasn't extreme. A lightweight as he said.
I love your work Joe Rogan. After my nephew, Tommy Chong is my favourite person, and I've never met the man. I still have the vinyl, Up In Smoke record that I purchased in 1979 when I was 13yo. I'm 57yo, been smoking weed all my life(my older bros gift of knowledge) just like 3 of my brothers, they are dead now, my little bro took the chemo for his lymphoma cancer, my 2nd oldest got lung cancer, he was heavy on the cigarettes and everything else, my 3rd oldest bro was a passenger in a crash, but my oldest brother is a straight laced mean prick that used to beat me until I was bigger than him. He's still alive and will be kicked if we ever cross paths again. He knows it, and it doesn't eat me up because I know how to chill. Good weed and stoic philosophy, good music and a motorcycle, a bicycle and pushups, eat, rinse, repeat. Greetings from Queensland Australia.
