That's not quite accurate about Abraham and Isaac. So far as Abraham knew he was going to have to sacrifice Isaac as a burnt offering. Yet he tells Isaac "God will provide Himself a lamb" (Gen 22:8). Even though, in the outcome, this proved to be true. Abraham actually lied to Isaac at the time. And in verse 5 he made his servants wait at the base of the mountain knowing they would try to stop him once they realized what he was about. He lied to them as well saying he and Isaac were going to worship knowing full well he was NOT taking Issac to worship with him……
