Season 8 was just fan fiction nonsense like The Hound Vs The Mountain.
Okay I have to type this. First off! I will just say this..D AND D …THE WRITERS NOW REFERED TO AS DUMB AND DUMBER SIGHNED ONTO THE SHOW TO SHARE AND ADAPT GEORGE MARTINS STORY…NOT WRITE IT FOR HIM . I'll say that again. They sighned on to share and adapt george Martin's story….not write it for him. A GARGANTUAN story by the way, the world hardly knew about until the show came along and D and D did a fantastic job while they were adapting from the books. Season 1-4 were the seasons with the book material and they are the seasons that every game of thrones fans regard as perfect. And all of a sudden theres no more book material and they have to write it themselves with only the main points of the ending…..The biggest show in television history and one of the biggest story's in the fantasy genre. If you want to blame any writer…maybe blame george rr martin. watch interviews.. he literally was talking alongside d and d way back during season 3 and was assuring everyone that he would finish before they did. But then he goes and takes on a bunch of projects before even finishing winds of winter. George himself has admitted he got too distracted with projects and he should have focused on finishing the books more. I'm gonna defend these guys D and D cause they gave it their all and didnt play it safe that's forsure and to say they didnt anticipate an angry reaction that could ruin their careers forever is ridiicilous. The whole world was gonna watch when season 8 came out and everyone knew this. They wanted 2 years to make it as good as they could have and our expectations only got higher.Literally before every season D and D would talk and express how worried they were about disappointing us the fans. Look it up yourself. Honestly in the end I think that these kind of toxic fans are the kind that scares writers and studios from doing anything new or ambitious. I mean look at the new star wars movies if you dont believe me. Disney played it too safe with the new trilogy and practically told the same story from the original series. The force awakens forsure has the same plot as new hope. Everyone said this. D and D deserve more respect. And game of thrones as a show deserves more positivity and apprecaition. And season 8 is still better than most of tv. Hell it's still always going to be one the greatest shows ever made period. I have spoken.
