The Bull of Heaven is a male in Mesopatamian myths but the Egyptians made the mother goddess Hathor a heifer. Could the Mithras cult where Mithras is slaying what is perceived as a Bull actually be slaying a heifer? I wonder if it is a foreshadow of a "man" slay the Woman that sits on the Beast. Hindus also revere the heifer. A Red heifer was slain in the Jewish faith as well…I speculate that God is taking over practices & making them his own in some way…Not that we should be practicing them but recognizing the aspects that were connect to Pagan rituals & traditions.
It is GOOD to question without the presence of God for it staves off evil & forces us to GO TO GOD for the answers. NOT MANKIND.
I should add that while we have been led to believe by our doctrine lead churches & not the word of God that we appear in an assembly to worship God, if the Pastor or Priest is not READING the Word of God & creating a place of discusaion to promote understanding all they are doing is creating propaganda messages based on their umderstanding or in many cases understanding accepted by the teachers at seminary school What they dont understand they throw out & ignore or make up something that is not witnessed in the Word. Jake is leading the fellowship or gathering as a kind of pastor or teacher but as he states he is also a student himself. Til the day we pass from this existence, we should never think we know what is truly meant for it endangers us; opens the door for whispers from demons & the fallen watchers.
Aaron, Our High Priest is Yeshua. Only he can truly be our pastor, preacher, Pope…It is the duty of all disciples/students to preach the word of God (not intrepret it)…Preach it. A disciple is to become an Apostle..a type of teacher. Yet they remain students themselves. Creating doctrine based on ones own understanding rather than searching out witnesses within the Word itslef, leads to idoltry for a lie within a truth is still a lie just as sin mixed goodness is still a sin. Any sin within leads to corruption which cannot be removed by anyone other than Yeshua.
