this girl seems very dumb. does she have any peer reviewed papers? or is she just a self-described science blogger? She dismisses science not done in the US. The rat/gmo experiments were done in hungary, italy, and russia. "Those kinds of rats tend to get tumors anyway." – so human studies of cancer should all be considered bad science since humans tend to get cancer anyway? Why not talk about sterilization and terminator seeds? That is what the tumor rat studies showed – several generations of GMO diets wipe out fertility. Who would think that sterilizing seeds would impact the things that eat the product of those seeds?
Cross breeding tomatoes with other tomatoes is not the same as inserting fish genes into a virus and splicing them into a plant. A fish cannot swap genes with a tomato in "nature."
Not to mention the ridiculously dangerous patent and IP 'controversies' regarding GMO crops and the potential monopolization of seeds.
She wasn't bought off by Monsanto, she's just dumb and thinks that science provides 'truths rather than 'facts'. Scientific facts surrounding complex adaptive systems never stick around long.

See: Rosenblum and Kuttner's "Quantum Enigma: Physics Encounters Consciousness." It's a touchy subject among physicists who are traditionally philosophical materialists, but they are physicists.
So many disparities in her beliefs/ statements that its impossible to keep track. Smart person, but far too hypocritical to be taken seriously. Great show
