Wiz Khalifa is correct in a sense. Whatever the consumer Market has to offer usually comes directly from the military because the military gets everything first. They figure out how to weaponize it or use it on the battlefield that always comes first. Then it filters down into the consumer Market. That's pretty much true for everything. So really wiz's probably correct in that notion that they piece it out to us or they have it first before we get it

You're both kind of right. There are the designs and prototypes to make ultra advanced technology, but to master it, market it and sell it is often too expensive early on. So as Joe said they try to bring out the best they can to market – but I would add it's only what they can afford to make a business – meaning Wiz (Cam) is right that they have the ability to do much more advanced things based on early developments but the market knowledge and level of scale in development aren't enough to get the ball rolling. Few people have taken initiative on those issues. One example is Elon Musk, who actually has been doing a lot for advancing better technology, as well as some other current big pioneers.
