  1. 1) Eazy E had one of the original distribution deals (besides Michael Jackson), He received 80% of the profits and Priority Records got the remaining 20% cementing forever his legacy as a savvy business man who could hang with his white counterparts at other Rap Labels.

    2) As part of a stipulation of Dre leaving Ruthless Records they both agreed that Eazy E would also own and receive a 5% royalty on everything Dr.Dre produced on DeathRow Records, Including his solo album 'The Chronic' and Snoop Doggy Dogg's 'Doggystyle'. The Chronic sold over 5 million before Eazy passed, He also had his own solo albums selling.

    3) Eazy E was focused on producing new talent and being an executive in music and publishing, he had groups like Brownside, Bone Thugs & Harmony, BG Knockout, Dresta etc.

    4) Eazy E owned a house in Calabasas way before any of these other rappers. (he was not downgrading houses).

It is important to understand music RIAA, and the business of publishing to properly understand Eazy E and Ruthless Records.
''Straight Outta Compton'' portrayed Eazy E in a certain way which confused me but at the same time they may have done it for dramatic effect. Eazy E owned all of his own music, publishing and also was receiving royalties on NWA's albums which was released under his company.
