Just for the record…MOST satellites are in fact weather balloons with up to 8,000 pounds of equipment attached to them that are sent out by nasa and other agencies from antartica and other specific places around the world.
It's a huge program and less expensive than rockets.
I am sure there are a few launched by rockets that are used when they need a specific one on target for a short time.
But if you think there 10's of thousands free floating satellites up there…just ask me to show you some more truths 😉
