  1. okay, I get that being unfocused with a multitude of unaccomplished desires can leave one depressed, but how do you go about those depressed because they acknowledge that they don't have any desires? A person the skips to the end of a thought or project and always asks "whats the point?" How do you give some desire to continue living if they find no value in it?

  2. Happiness is a very difficult word to define. If I see "happiness" as a walk around the block with my dog at night – then happiness is a choice and well within my control.

    If I see "happiness" as perfect brain chemistry with functioning dopamine & serotonin pathways – then "happiness" is out of my control (to a large degree) and a totally elusive state of consciousness beholden to infinite cause & effect relationships.

  3. The happiest people I have ever seen we're people in poor countries. We've been brainwashed in America to think that people without a lot of money or material items are miserable victims of society. I'd argue the more money you have makes you unhappy. Just look at Elon Musk. The guy is miserable inside.
