  1. 2:50 That guy really nails it there. China is building one coal plant a week and they have vast reserves. Coal is the future of energy. Maybe not in America but in China and India it will be. And both countries are three times the size of America. They will NOT allow environmentalists to get in their way.

  2. IT'S where an obession get's you……….and if you combine obsession with idealism…….well there you go. qoute from the movie THE PRESTIGE……….."Have you considered the cost of this thing? price is not an object. perhaps not, but have you considered THE COST. Not sure I follow. Go home forget this thing, no good can come from it. But didn't good come from your obsession. Yes, at first, but I have followed them for too long, and now I am their slave. And one day they will choose to destroy me". This is not LITERALLY ACCURATE but it's very close. And dead on conceptually speaking.

they use any angle to rationalize their absolute need to destroy capitalism. this is pretty much their last gasp at some absolute necessity, that they feel they can explain, which hasn't already been, pretty much rejected already.

  3. A lot of the people capigning for this stuff are Upper Middle Class People and higher. It's really easy to suggest that all sorts of Taxes should be added to things when the extra cost doesn't make a difference too.

I recall a discussion I had with a friend when Greta was in the News all the Time. Friend (from far more wealthy family) was telling me about how he thinks it's a good idea to give Plane Tickets a massve price hike and that he thinks people shouldn't complain about such ideas. I pointed out that really he is just arguing for afluent Gatekeeping. A 20+% Price Hike won't stop his parents, the type of people that actually cause the issue, from taking multiple international Vacations every year, it will however stop less wealthy families from being able to take a single Vacation.

It's always very telling when the propossed solution to a problem is "We should make it prohibitively expensive".

Same reason any Hollywood Person opening their stupid mouths should be met with punches to the face until they learn to stfu.

Actual Solutions (actually multipronged ones) would be things like ensuring that anyone actually capable of doing their work from home can actually do so = massive reduction to traffic, more living space because you don't need largely pointless office complexes and obviously you've removed a lot of commuting. And that's ignoring the part where a lot of people are stressed out because work/life balance is out of proporton.
