The story of Noah’s Ark first appeared between the 10th and 6th centuries BC in compositions that became part of the Jewish Torah and the Old Testament. At least several hundreds of years prior to this account, scholars from the ancient Sumerian civilization authored a remarkably similar account of the flood. In the Sumerian flood story, a hero builds an ark to preserve the species of the Earth from a great “Deluge” that is sent by the gods. This tale appears in the epics of Atrahasis and Gilgamesh which are up to 1000 years older, bringing the veracity of the later Biblical account into question.

Of all the Deities in the world, I feel everyone would agree that all the known and unknown Deities meet in the Octagon for a Duel of Fates contest! I watched the movue Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.. and personally “may the best Deity win, winner takes all!”
Yet given the way Islam, Christianity and Judaism have handled everything it would be interesting to watch.. Hypocrisy has destroyed many powerful governments..

Flood stories should be called stories not myth. We do live on a water planet so floods would be a normal occurrence. I wonder about the timing and why a " God " wouldn't predict the results of creation. There is so much about the Atrahasis I don't understand . What parts of man were left off the new models ? Can those switches be turned back on ? Should they be ?
