It's so funny that you guys talk about getting rich, getting the sophisticated robots to do almost all humanly possible jobs but, mankind has still not found the solution on how to become immortal.
This won't happen because some people prefer it not to happen. Yes, everyone can be a scientist or engineer the same way anyone can cook. Cooking and Engineering are just taught differently. They both use science.
Not everyone can be rich. There cant only be jobs that highly intelligent people can do like sciences. Or highly athletic people can do like sports. It has nothing to do with education it has to do with the diversity in society that forms naturally. If everyone is entertaining everyone. Entertainment becomes boring. If everyone does sports. Sports become less special. If everyone did the same job the world would be boring. There needs to be diversity so everything is appreciated and holds meaning. There needs to be rich and poor so that the population stays hungry to achieve goals and do things that drive development.
The idea that robots will do everything for us and we'll all be happy is very simplistic. It probably works better in theory than in reality.
