I live In Australia we have Medicare trust me joe doctors still make plenty of money
Canada does have Medicare for all though we do have one of the highest out of pocket payments of similar countries with single payer systems. But anyone can go and get medical care even if you have no money or very little money.
Anyone from Canada who goes to the US for surgeries goes because they think they are better than their fellow with less money. The provincial gov is who regulates and ‘funds’ healthcare and since many of them are ‘conservative’ leaning they don’t want public healthcare. So they drastically underfund it as an excuse to bring in more private healthcare and then they, the wealthy, jump the line.
Rogan doesn’t seem to get that the ‘best’ doctors being in the US is because the high salaries siphon off from other countries, yet it isn’t leading to better health outcomes. What good are the best doctors if many people can’t access them or they’re doing elective surgeries??
