Fighters and football players have no leverage. The NFL has a union and they still have to go on strike. The NBA and MLB PA makes the NFL look like a joke.
The fighters see themselves as individuals but Dana doesn't when he makes way more money than they are off of their effort, the fighters need a union if they want to stop getting fucked by him.
Having different organizations definitely helps the sport as an entity grow. Look at when WWF (now WWE) was massive. It was when WCW and ECW was around to help build the sport as a whole. Then WWF bought/got rid of WCW, then later bought/got rid of ECW. They essentially just shrunk the sport down to just 1 show. Sure it was good for about another 5 or 10 years (tops) afterwards but ultimately it just imploded itself and if UFC tries to do that in the future it will more than likely follow the same fate.
Like his fights, I'm only tuning in to see him get beat up.
Even Covington could beat RDA
