She is just so real and honest!
She's right about the old school black community being like that toward gay individuals. My mom had 2 brothers that are both gay. My dad had one gay brother. One of my moms brothers left our state of Kentucky in 1980 to move to NYC to be in an environment that was more accepting than it was & still can be here. My moms other brother is still in the closet with family because of this type of upbringing but lives in another state. My dads gay brother, well lets just say he became a psycho from the mistreatment that the community, all 8 of his brothers, his cousins, uncles, aunts, along with his own parents put him through. It's really unfortunate.
As a gay man I'm so proud of Ms. Pat. You're a good woman and you did your daughter right.
