  1. So let's say that you all go to a Pearl Jam concert and you watch the show and enjoy it. And then you walk over to the merchandise booth and you pay them $75 for a t-shirt that was made in Bangladesh by a kid in a sweatshop, perhaps $100 for the DVD of the concert so you can always have that to watch again, and maybe $45 for the ball cap with Pearl Jam's logo on the front of it again made by some kid in a sweatshop in Bangladesh. You have no problem with paying Pearl Jam all those exorbitant prices . No problem at all, you're just willing to hand over hundreds and perhaps hundreds of more dollars to Pearl Jam for stupid, useless merchandise you will probably use once and throw away. But God forbid you should help to pay to put the food on the table for the people that work at Ticketmaster Who Sold you the ticket, who made the ticket and the equipment, who designed the programming, all the product management team, all the people, the hundreds of people that are involved in Ticketmasters selling. You have a problem with paying them that 40% charge so they can keep their lives going, but here Pearl Jam– have $200 $300 for useless merchandise, take my wallet please.

Pearl Jam and all these other concerts and Theater events, Etc are out there making a mint off of you through their merchandise and a ticket sales, meanwhile what is Ticketmaster supposed to get out of this? What, do you want them to charge you a buck-fifty for the ticket? Would you think that's fair? Really? $1.50 to help feed all those people at Ticketmaster that worked on the selling and the making and the distribution of your ticket, while Pearl Jam is making a mint off of you? Pearl Jam gets a ton of money out of these sales compared to what Ticketmasters making.

Now do you see why they charge it?
