I'm Dutch but I like Thai boxing more.
Thai fighting and by far also here goes Joe making more of the most casual statements yet again Dekkers held a 10-20 lb weight advantage over all his Thai opponents and his record was 11-31 overrated as shit he was a legit kick-boxer but all this rubbish about him destroying everyone in Thailand is false
Both styles have some pretty glaring weaknesses and it takes exceptional athletes, like Jonathan Haggerty or Dekkers, to combine them and win. The best kickboxing style of all time is whatever you what Benny Urquidez and his contemporaries were doing. Those guys trained in the American Pro Boxing gyms and knew Judo and jujutsu and regularly crushed Muay Thai-trained Japanese fighters in bout where clinching, knees, and low kicks were allowed.
I started with boxing and then a few years later i started with muay thai and K1 combined. Its a great combination.
What the most people seem to forget, Thai Boxers can't compete against the Dutch cause they are not as heavy or tall they only can compete in lower weight classes not in Heavy Weight Division, Imagine a Low Weight Thai against Sam Schildt or Rico Verhoeven they would destroy them, no dissrespect to Thais ✌️
