I genuinely miss a lot of texts. I come home, put my phone down-then I'm usually outside for a couple of hours. I sometimes don't see texts for hours. I'm just not tied to my phone. You need to set the expectation to your friends from the beginning. "Hey, I'm not a big texter etc"
There’s two different texts though. There’s the bullshit ones and the fucking ones that need your response.
I don’t think people want to call people any more unless it’s a real emergency.
I don’t respond if it doesn’t warrant it. Or if I send one that stating the info, it’s okay if I don’t get a respond cause I wasn’t looking for one.
I’m not the kind of person who craves to look at my phone and have a conversation thru text.
People don't realize how unreliable text messaging is. It's not device to device like phone calls. It's more like email. Sometime texts don't make it through.
