Where the hell has this video been for me? Seeing them nerd out over this brings out the Godzilla fanatic in me. I hope Joe and Joey went out to see KOTM after this too.
4:22 it wasn’t just any guy… it was Dr. Serizawa, a nod to the original 1954 film. In the legendary series, Godzilla isn’t a “bad guy” but instead a creature that literally embodies the Force of Nature. Godzilla slumbers through most of history, only to awaken when the planet is in danger, like to alien invaders like Ghidorah. So with that being said Godzilla is benevolent, and clearly had no business being bugged about seeing Serizawa. It’d be like a human who loves nature seeing a potato bug in your room.
