  1. as a Hong Konger it's nice to see our protest has joe amazed but at the same time sad that not many people overseas actually care or understand. The Hong Kong government was trying to push a law so that they can transfer criminals to China which is dangerous because China has a broken jurisdiction system that serves only the CCP and it ignited the protest. We marched twice the first time 1 million people came out and then 2 million just a week later. keep in mind hong kong has about 7 millions of population and the government completely ignored the voices of 30% of the people. not only that the till August 10th about 500 people were arrested some for just passing by the area and the police has fired over 2000 rounds of tear gas some of them have already expired which make them extremely toxic and hundreds of rubber bullets often times aiming at protesters vital organs. even triads came out to attack citizens (they attacked everyone, not just protesters) and the police didnt arrest any of them, plenty of reports on youtube if you would simply search "7.21 Yuen Long Hong Kong"

  2. Living here where the protests did not only happen but continued for an extended amount of time; I'm disappointed that one of my favorite cultural figures known for being reasonable unbiased and intelligent gave little time to a serious issue affecting a multitude of people greater than the population of Denmark.

  3. Absolutely appalled that someone as current and informed as Joe Rogan knows nothing about the situation in Hong Kong.

Democracy itself is under threat in Hong Kong.

I’ve heard of American ignorance to all things beyond their borders but I think it just got slapped in the face with it.
