  1. its the 3 foot distance that stops the man picking up the chair, 3 foot is longer than the upper half of a man so he is leaning forward more so cant balance, womens upper body is slightly longer than mens due to carrying babies so when the lean towards the wall they are a bit more upright so can balance when lifting the chair

Yes, Males pelvis's are narrower than a females, as well as having narrower Ischium bones, the pelvis is naturally directed outwards, as an individuals Femur is positioned horizontally, hence why when at rest legs naturally fall outwards in line with it's own anatomy. Greater strength is required in order to sustain their stability. And also due to the Hip Flexors and aductors becoming tight when seated.
    Sitting with your legs together for long amounts of time can actually cause impingment and reduced mobility of the hips ( it's also what causes the snapping and popping sounds some people experience when you move your legs around).
