Thomas Kuhn? Anyone? Can a serious historian or philosopher of science say that science is apolitical, both in itself and regarding the rest of the society? Eric is trying to make an overly clear distinction. Same thing with Peterson and his “postmodern neo-marxists”. Man, I LOVE most IDW folks, but I wish they’d look for the truth in their opponents words a bit more frequently.
Funny how he advocates for idealism in other videos but then he complains about postmodernism in this one, when the first is the foundation of the second.
Good luck keeping social engineering and identity politics out of "your lab." If you're talking about academia, I think you've lost that battle, and that the bureaucracy and administration doesn't have your back. Not anymore.
