  1. The problem with group IQ, as all the experts say, is that it doesn't tell you anything about the individual. If you look at the groupings, you'll find within a group a large range of IQs. When you match that up against another group, there will be a large number of individuals in the inferior group with a higher IQ than many members of the higher group. The reason I don't like the Murray inclusion of group IQ is it misleads people to act in a way that is unfair to the individual. When Sam Harris asked him in his interview what was the benefit of including that information, Murray couldn't give a good answer. Perhaps there is a good answer, but I haven't heard it.
