What’s with those sounds coming from joe
The issue I have with the Vinyl vs Digital debate is that "blind testing" mostly proves that people can't tell the difference and it comes down to the equipment.
Vinyl on a crap system sounds awful, as does Digital. They can both sound incredible on better equipment.
What I DO prefer about vinyl is a 12" sleeve to gaze at for hours. Maybe CDs should just come in 12" cardboard cases.
In the mid 1980s I heard my first CD (on headphones). "King of America" by Elvis Costello. After a life of vinyl I can honestly say it took my breath away just how fabulous it sounded.
The clarity and separation, and general "perfection" of it was mind-blowing. I'm afraid I have no desire to go back to vinyl. Just buy a good system.
