@joerogan the entire premise of ant fascism. A huge part being police violence And lack of action selectively . Now your guest went and starting attacking in print the validity of LGBT being attacked and threatened by roving alt right thugs. Calling people liars. And invoking the right to further hate the left. His basis was no police reports on the 8 or 9 incidents except one where the pigs said the victem was drunk .. now this guy gets assaulted and police dont take a report.. then he goes overdrive with this narrative. The difference, Joe, is that the proud boys were a reaction. A comical invention to "defend the west" culturally.
Antifa is not new. They were the communist militia fighting Ww1 vets in germany pushing for a bolshevik revolution in Germany. Ironically they made the rise of fascism that much easier by being militant chaos mongers. Because that's their point; they are by definition the "useful idiots" used to destabilize a country and generate the environment for a revolution.
They are, by any stretch of the definition, terrorists.
Well, ANTIFA are just trolls. I suppose you could say they just want to goad the right into becoming more violent so that social media, etc can censor them more. The problem for the left right now is that the right has kept their cool. It gets harder and harder to solicit money from progressive donors, etc unless the right becomes more "threatening". A more violent right keeps their coffers full. A guy who once worked for the SPLC once admitted getting donor money was all about keeping potential donors scared.
OF course, violence against ANTIFA, when it eventually happens, will be so roundly cheered across the country that whomever perpetrated it will become national heros. I can't wait to see how progressive groups handle that one. How do you defend a bunch of guys with no names, no identities, and no morals? They are essentially just stalkers in the night.
