I don't understand the point of it just being a few people that do the violence. The violence happens, that's the problem. Does it really matter that it's only a minority that engages in it, when this violence could easily be stopped by doling out harsh sentences. These femboys wouldn't stand years in jail, and they won't risk it.
Everywhere fascism arose, it was preceded by socialism. Mussolini – who coined the term – was an editor for a socialist journal. Nazis is short for National Socialists. They were socialists who, seeing the human disaster of the Bolshevik revolutions in Russia sought to implement their version socialism around a different banner than class, turning instead to national identity (i.e. National Socialism). The fasces is literally a bundle of sticks – representing the idea of being "stronger together." Business/corporate interests, seeing this as a better alternative to being murdered in class-based strife, supported this approach, creating an unholy alliance of leftist political dogma with right-leaning industrial/business support.
It's worth getting this right, because this is exactly the unholy alliance that has begun to emerge in the USA over the past decade.
Joe keeps falling back on the fact that its a small number of people, but they are operating with the sanction – and protection – of the crowd. The crowd is complicit.
This has happened before. In the 1930's Hitler had "brown shirts" exact same thing. Google it.
