Fascism as defined in dictionaries published 30 or 40 years ago included the aspect of big business merging with & serving the interests of big government, in carrying out & enforcing authoritarian policies. IOW there's so much crossover among players & their interests, that certain corporations become arms of the government. I'm paraphrasing here, but apply this idea in considering today's Big Pharma, Big Tech & corporate Media with their government contracts and their tacit support & even corporate sponsorship of groups burning down our cities in the name of "anti" fascism & black lives. WRT Antifa, I personally believe the "left wing/ right wing" rubric is problematic in understanding today's political landscape & Antifa's role in it. We are continuing, in error, to believe that the "left" (anarcho-communists/ socialists, their ideology based on CLASS conflict "rich vs poor") and the "right" (nazis/ fascists — ideology rooted in RACE conflict) are somehow polar opposite ideologies. And we're still being led to believe that the people supporting those ideologies are on opposing sides. I believe this is a false dichotomy that is being used to confuse & divide us & that this is a dangerous myopia. We need to inderstand what's different and far more dangerous about the American "left" of today, with Antifa as most visible example, is that THEY are incorporating & using the ideas of BOTH communists AND nazis, their projected accusations notwithstanding. They are willfully fomenting BOTH class & RACE hatreds; they are using the agit-prop AND direct-action ground tactics of kristallnacht's Brown Shirts AND Mao's Red Guards of the Cultural Revolution. Ironically, the people they disdain & have now declared as their enemy are the people both the communists AND the nazis of old formerly claimed to represent: the "proletariat." The working class of all races, who defend our nation & its borders, have been declared nazis & at the same time, the New Jew, the "other" which Antifa wants to destroy. Only when we understand the full extent of the batshit insanity of these people, will we be able to counter & discredit them.
