Blacks really have no right to complain about cultural, appropriation until they stop culturally appropriating Egyptian’s, Moors, Israelites, and Native Americans.. even Mr. West would agree with me
I love Jimi Hendrix, but he didn't CREATE chords. He used certain chords, like the E7#9 he used in Purple Haze, but he didnt CREATE it, it was already a chord and its known as the Jimi Hendrix chord because of its USE by Jimi in a distinctive and memorable way from that song.
Same as the making the Major 4 chord a minor before resolving to the Major 1. Thats not a chord progression CREATED by John Lennon, but it was one he used distinctively and memorably in some songs and some refer to it as the John Lennon chord progression.
