Wow! Very insightful subject. I will need to do more reading up on this.
Love this theory. Explains so many things such as religion (we want to feel like there will be something beyond death) or why we want to buy expensive cars and things we don't need (to feel like we are unique, and thus immune from the rule of death that everyone else is subject to).

“Terror Management Theory” as it’s described by Whitney is a well known construct. In the DSM V it’s known as Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
World View is how we make sense of a chaotic universe. Religion is this for many. I listened to a podcast on TMT and it was profound.
