Marilyn monroe was trashed by everyone and eventually killed herself. was given around by families at like 12 and mostly to work. Was in an orphanage. Had to marry at 16 with her neighbor cause her latest adoptive family couldn't afford having her in the house no more and it was either marrying the dude or be back to the orphanage. Her brother died. Her father didnt want to meet here
even after she became famous. Her mother was istituzionalized. Most guys she dated used her for sex and dumped her. Noone had a real interest in her. She was ghosted even by a guy she was engaged to . I don't know if this makes her a slob, whitney….
I grew up being spoonfed this image of women as sexy victims, and people excuse her all the time
because of her childhood.Totally agree about Hedy Lamar thing and everything she says here.

Was maryline a feminist icon. Maybe so maybe not. She was undeniably ahead of her time and helped transform the countries views on sex appeal and sex in general. I actually liken her to a female Hugh hefner in that both were outspoken in their philosophy that sex was ok, natural, and just as much a part of life as eating or sleeping. And for better or worst that message has really impacted society for generations. Quite an impact for someone of her stature.
